Barry Coates, CPA
Chief Operating Officer
Barry Coates, CPA joined WBL CPAs + Advisors as our first Chief Operations Officer.
He has more than 25 years of experience in management consulting with a focus on the office of the CFO. He has worked extensively in mergers and acquisitions, sales operations and helping scale growth-oriented organizations. Before joining WBL, Barry served as Chief Financial Officer at Hancock Askew, a prominent Atlanta-based accounting firm. His prior roles include CFO positions at a nonprofit organization and a technology consulting company, where he led financial strategy and transformation efforts.
Barry graduated from North Carolina State University where he received his undergraduate degree in accounting and from the University of Georgia where he received a Master in Accounting. He's a Certified Public Accountant and has a green belt in Lean Six Sigma.
